What you’ll get

The whole setup takes about 30 minutes. Once it’s running, you’ll research and qualify prospects in under 5 minutes each instead of the usual 30-45 minutes.
How it works
Think of this as your AI research assistant that never gets tired.
Here’s the flow: Claude (your AI assistant) connects to Google Sheets through something called MCP (Model Context Protocol). You give Claude specific prompts, it does the research using web search, and automatically populates your tracking spreadsheet with organized data.
MCP is simply a bridge that lets Claude perform actions outside of just chatting – like writing to Google Sheets or accessing other apps. When you set up MCP, you’re giving Claude permission to use these tools on your behalf.
The connection looks like this: Claude → MCP Server → Your Tools (Google Sheets, Zapier, etc.)
Before we start
You’ll need accounts for three tools you probably already use:
- Google Drive (for spreadsheet tracking)
- Zapier (for connecting Claude to Google Sheets)
- Claude (for AI research and writing)
As of June 2025, each of the tools are free except for Claude. To set up the integration to Zapier, you'll need a Claude Pro Plan which will run you $20/month in the US.

Making it work for you
The founders I worked with saw immediate results. One reduced research time from 45 minutes to 5 minutes per prospect. Another doubled response rates by making outreach more relevant and valuable.
But they succeeded because they followed a few key guidelines, namely:
Start small: Run through all three prompts with 3 companies first. Get comfortable with the process before scaling up. Adjust the prompts as needed.
Pay attention to quality: Always review Claude’s research for accuracy. The AI is excellent at finding information but can occasionally misinterpret company details.
Focus on personalization: The system gives you a strong foundation, but your personal insights and industry knowledge make the emails compelling.
Track your results: Use your Google Sheet to monitor response rates and adjust your approach based on what works.
